The sitting was held in Ivano-Frankivsk Medical University.
In the work of the "round-table" took part: representatives of Ivano-Frankivsk regional administration, Ministry on Health Protection, Academy of Medical Science and rectors and directors of higher medical and pharmaceutical educational institutions.
The Chairman of the Committee, Volodymyr Polokhalo declared that "today the system of medical education works under the complicated conditions without material-technical, finance, informational and personnel provision". He also declared that "the prior tasks in the sphere of integration of the practical health protection and medical science are the formation of the university hospitals". V. Polokhalo declared that the Committee has scrutinized the Bill on Amendments to the Law "On Higher Education" (re the universities hospitals), that was adopted in the first reading and is being elaborated for the second one.
The attention was also pointed out on the issue of external evaluation. It was mentioned the "round table" bill of the recommendations envisages the recommendations for the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine to presuppose in the rules of the external evaluation of the education quality the strict quote of the people who enter the University under the preferential terms.
The participants were informed that the Bill on Amendments to certain legal acts of Ukraine regarding the implementation of the external education quality evaluation and implementation of the liability for the violations in the order of the external evaluation holding and use of its results (Reg.№4241) is planned to be scrutinized in the Parliament as soon as possible in the second reading.
It was also stressed that there are problem in the formation of the centers of technologies transfer under the aegis of Ministry on Health Protection.
Moreover, V. Polokhalo expressed proposition for the Committee regarding the highest medical institutions being subordinated to the Ministry on Science and Education of Ukraine.
